Player Review
Jake Heitman was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in NC on March 18th, 2023. His starting form is good and his upper body gets through really well to the punter. He's very close to using all of his body and when he does he's going to get a lot of overall speed on the ball. He snaps a nice, smooth ball that's easy to catch. His snapping motion is also very smooth and I want him to trust it by really just letting the ball fly out of his hands. The harder Jake snaps the ball, the better he's going to do in the long run. He's got a lot of upside and I like the direction he's headed. Snapping with confidence is going to be absolutely massive for Jake at Vegas in MayJake Heitman did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XLI Event on January 14-15, 2023! His starting form is gorgeous and he snaps one of the smoothest balls in his class. His balance is solid and his snaps are very easy to catch. To create more speed on the ball, would love to see Jake focus on really driving his elbows as that will generate more whip on the ball. Slow motion drills will help this process a ton. Athletically, Jake will benefit from pressing the gas and gaining a bit more control of his body. He is right on the cusp of greatness and he is moving in the right direction. I absolutey love how quick his hands are as the ball jumps out of the gate like a champion. Keep an eye on Jake this spring and at VEGAS XLII in May!
