Player Review

Mitchell did well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XLI Event on January 14-15, 2023! He has good size and I like his starting form a lot. Mitchell is quick out of the gate and the ball jumps out really well. His upper body gets through really well and he is close to using his whole body really well. When he does that, his snap speeds will drastically improve. Also, locking down his spiral is going to be huge for Mitchell. Ball can come back quickly but if there is a wobble on it, the speeds will get punished and it will be harder to catch. He is able to move on his feet pretty well and has great upside. Locking down the spiral is going to be massive for Mitchell. Good attitude. 


Mitchell showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in WA on October 2nd, 2022. He has a great attitude and is always smiling. Athletic Long Snapper with a great frame to put on some more size over the next couple of years. His follow through is fantastic and I love how well he reaches back to the punter. Smooth Long Snapper that is able to use his whole body really well in the snapping motion. Need to see Mitchell focus on getting his spiral locked down and making sure he is hitting the same release point with each snap to increase his overall accuracy. Keep an eye on this very promising Long Snapper at VEGAS XLI in January.

Accomplishments

RSI (Rubio Standard Index) is a scoring process developed by Rubio Long Snapping that weighs the average speed of the snap along with points for accuracy on the Rubio Target. Bonus points are awarded for a superior range of snap times.
