Symes did well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXIX Event on January 14-15, 2017. He is a Long Snapper that ran hard and definitely is an athlete. He had no problem with the agility section of the weekend and will no doubt be a factor going downfield on punts. Snapping wise, he does a really good job of getting his arms through to the punter. Follow through is solid. Love to see Symes not think so much and use more of his lower half to gain more speed to push up his RSI at VEGAS 30 in May. Hands are quick and he has potential.

All Long Snappers were tested on The Rubio Target. Each Long Snapper was tested on 12 punt snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set) and 12 pat snaps where they had three normal snaps, three blocking left, three blocking right, three speed punt snaps (running in from the side and have three seconds to get the ball off once their feet are set). Once the Long Snapper has completed the test, they earn an RSI which is the fairest and most accurate way to judge a Long Snapper by numbers. Please note: the RSI does not account for athleticism, spiral or mentality.
RSI (Rubio Standard Index): The RSI is the score divided by the average speed on The Rubio Target. You may obtain 2 bonus points for an average of .75-.79, 2 more bonus points for an average of .70-.74 and an additional 2 more bonus points if you average below .70.
