Player Review
Owen was very solid this summer and at The TOP 12 Camp in CA. Very smooth Long Snapper with a methodical approach to the process. Thick and strong. Powerful snaps. Like to see Owen think a bit less and really drive his elbows through the process. If he can do that, Owen will greatly increase his overall speed on the ball as it will tend to jump qucik out of the gate and almost cheat back to the punter. Very good attitude and I love his accuracy and consistency. Upside is good and he is always improving. Coaches will love his attitude and work ethic. Powerful runner.
Owen did well at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXXI Event on January 12-14, 2018. He is a big and strong Long Snapper with great power throughout his whole body. Like to see Owen widen out a bit with his stance so he can get his upper body through more to increase his overall accuracy. Also, driving his eyes/head through more, and quicker, will increase his accuracy as well. Upside is off the charts for Owen. Ball is quick with times under .75. Accuracy and consistency are the keys to his greatness. This kid is good and headed towards unstoppable with some slight adjustments to his form.
Owen showed me some great things at the Rubio Long Snapping Summer Camp in IL on July 13, 2017. Body is built long and he moved very well on his feet. Owen can definitely be a factor on the punt coverage team. Love to see Owen focus on gaining size and really making sure he is always snapping with full power/confidence. When he really snaps the ball hard and drives his eyes/head through, his accuracy is on point and he can get his snaps under .80. Potential is off the charts and he should do really well this fall and at VEGAS XXXI. Watch Owen as it wouldn't surprise me to see him in the top 20 by the Ohio camp.
