Player Review
Both showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in NC on March 11, 2018. Very smooth lefty that does a great job of driving all the way through to the punter. Practically hands the ball to the punter. Need to see Both focus on gaining size and not dragging the ball. If he drags the ball, it impacts the overall speed of the ball and the spiral. Lay down drills will help a ton with assisting in the spiral but, as stated, not dragging will be massive in moving up. Good attitude and I am a big fan of Both’s upside.
Both did well really well at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in NC on November 19th, 2017. Athletic Long Snapper that has good starting form and reaches back well to the punter. Smooth Long Snapper that snaps a ball that is easy to catch for a punter or holder. Like to see him actually rise up in his stance a bit to make it easier for him to use all of his lower half and get his timing down to really get some pop on the ball. Rising up and getting more use of his legs will increase Both's overall consistency of speed. His ball can dip into the low .8s but can also hit the high .9s. That is all timing issues and once he gets those locked down, he will be well under .85 by VEGAS XXXI. It actually won't be hard for him to figure this out since he is so athletic. Quick fixes will push him up. Watch this kid. He has it.
