    Player Review

Saar did well at the Rubio Long Snapping Summer Camp in IL on July 8th, 2019. He snaps a smooth ball that is say to catch for the punter. His starting form is very good and he is using all of his lower half really well. Love how well he is driving his head through to the punter but need to make sure he is wide enough and driving his elbows enough so he isn’t hitting his elbows on his inner thighs. If they hit, it will slow down the ball and cause issues with his spiral. Tremendous attitude and great upside.

Saar showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping IL Spring Camp on April 14th, 2019. Thick Long Snapper with good power throughout his whole body. Starting form is good and his pop is very solid. Making sure he is following through with both hands will help out with his accuracy and push up his RSI at VEGAS XXXIV in May. I would like to see Saar focus on making sure his strong body is going straight back to the punter. Right now, Saar can go up a bit and then back. Removing the up will get his speeds well into the .7s with no problem at all. Hard worker that is coachable.

Saar showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Midwest Fall Camp on December 9th, 2018. Thick and powerful Long Snapper that pops his legs really well. Saar does a good job of locking his legs out. Sitting back and making sure he is not falling forward is going to be huge for Saar’s accuracy. If he falls forward it messes up his release point which will hurt his accuracy and speed. With as much pop as he gets, the extra lean back will easily get his ball into the .7s at VEGAS XXXIII in January. Might have had the best overall leg lock at the camp. Impressive. Solid jump in the rankings.

Saar showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in IL on April 7th, 2018. Big and strong Long Snapper that snaps with good pop. Really love watching Saar explode back to the punter. Like to see Saar focus on lowering his butt a bit more to increase his overall power when snapping. Also, driving his elbows through and not having them hit the inside of his thighs will increase his accuracy and speed. Locking down his spiral will make the ball easier to catch and also slice through the wind for more speed. Very good potential and, as stated, I am big fan of his explosiveness. Great movement up the rankings.
