    Player Review

Schmitz was probably the most intriguing Long Snapper I came across during the 2018 Rubio Long Snapping Summer Tour. He looks like a college athlete right now and still has a year left of high school. Strong and athletic Long Snapper with some of the most potential I have seen on a Long Snapper. Raw talent that can already get the ball back to the punter in under .8 at 15 yards. Like to see him lower his butt a bit more to get his back parallel to the ground which will enable him to use more of his strong and athletic legs. Also, locking down his release point will increase his accuracy. If he works hard and smart, Schmits could EASILY be a scholarship Long Snapper by the end of the school year. I can't wait to see his improvement this fall.

RSI (Rubio Standard Index) is a scoring process developed by Rubio Long Snapping that weighs the average speed of the snap along with points for accuracy on the Rubio Target. Bonus points are awarded for a superior range of snap times.

    2018 IL SUMMER RSI: 22.50
