Gilbert Islas had a very strong showing at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in Los Angeles, CA on March 22, 2026. He shows very good starting form and has a frame with room to put on more weight over the next couple of years. Gilbert follows through well and can produce a tight spiral that is easy to catch. When he gets hot, he is hot and is able to snap a college level ball. Driving his elbows through will help him create more whip and speed on the ball. I am looking forward to seeing him at VEGAS 48 in May.
