James Van Winkle was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in Nashville on February 23rd, 2025. Van Winkle’s a thick Long Snapper built for power. His starting form is good, and it set a strong foundation for him to dominate if he keeps working on it. Quick hands let Van Winkle reach back well to the punter. He’s got solid balance, and his spiral stays tight. I’d love to see Van Winkle use slow-motion drills to get that strong lower half fully involved in his snapping motion for more overall ball speed. I’m pumped to see him at VEGAS XLVI on May 3-4, 2025. Getting his whole body going is going to be his key. Great attitude.
