Mateo Cano had a fantastic day at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in Danville, CA on April 21st, 2024. Mateo was easily one of the most improved long snappers on the day. He is extremely coachable with a phenomenal attitude. He has really quick hands and does a great job of getting both his head and eyes back to the punter in a hurry. Moves very well on his feet and is really strong. Just visually you can tell that he doesn’t skip the weight room. Form is really smooth and I love seeing his legs get locked out when he snaps. His spiral improved a ton and when he was able to really reach through with both of his hands he was very consistent. Massive potential on Mateo and I’m excited to see him continue to get even better at VEGAS XLIV on May 4-5
