Mateo Santiago had a very strong weekend at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS 48 Event on May 2-3, 2026. He is a thick and powerful Long Snapper with great starting form. Mateo snaps a tight spiral and the ball is very easy to catch. The more he gets his lower half fully involved in the snapping motion, the faster and more dominant his ball will become. The harder he snaps, the better he performs. Mateo has a great frame, follows through really well, and the more he presses the gas athletically, the higher his ceiling becomes. His side-to-side movement is very good, and he is sneaky athletic overall. Mateo did really well throughout the agility course and continues to show a lot of upside. I am looking forward to seeing him continue to develop this summer at a Rising Stars Camp in Idaho or Illinois.
