Patrick Sweeney had a strong day at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in Los Angeles on October 19th. He’s got a great overall frame with room to pack on some good weight over the next couple of years and moves very well for his size. His starting form is excellent, and he does a nice job of following through all the way to the punter. When his spiral is locked in, the ball slices through the wind and is easy to catch. The next big step for him will be focusing on slow motion drills to get his lower half more involved, which will help boost his overall speed and consistency. He’s a very solid Long Snapper with a ton of potential—definitely one to keep a close eye on. I am looking forward to seeing Sweeney at VEGAS 47 in January!
