Tanner Walter had a very strong weekend at the Rubio Long Snapping Rising Stars Camp in Lewiston, ID on June 27-28, 2026. He has good starting form and is built very long with a ton of room to grow over the next couple of years. Tanner has the frame to put on some really good weight, which will only increase his overall power. His spiral can be very tight, and he does an outstanding job following through with both his hands and his eyes. He is really close to using his entire lower half to generate more consistent speed on the ball. Slow motion drills will help a ton by locking down the timing between his upper and lower body. Once that timing is dialed in, Tanner’s length will allow him to generate outstanding speed on the ball. The biggest thing I want him to focus on is being quicker out of the gate and eliminating any pause at the start of his snapping motion. Tanner has a great attitude, tremendous upside, and all the physical tools that college coaches look for. Looking forward to seeing him this fall!
