Player Review
Bode Johnson showed me a lot of good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XLI Event on January 14-15, 2023! Johnson has excellent starting form and is able to use all of his body extremely well when he's snapping the ball back to the ounter. He averaged .75 all weekend and left no doubt that he's one of the top snappers in his class. You can really tell that Johnson has done a good job of working over the past four months since we saw him in the state of Utah. He is thick, he is strong and he still able to move very well on his feet. He's so thick and powerful, you would think he's not that athletic, but this kid can flat out fly on his feet and his good laterally. Johnson had a very good weekend in Vegas, and you definitely want to keep it a close eye on this kid over the next year. Very, very solid Long Snapper.
was extremely impressive at the Fall Utah Camp. He continually proved to be one of the most polished snappers at the camp. He has tremendous form and snaps a very clean ball, with great accuracy, consistently in the mid to high .7s. I would love to see Bode continue to work on becoming more violent while maintaining his solid form. If he can do this he is only going to continue to get better and potentially become one of the top snappers in his class. January Vegas will be a great opportunity for Bode to show what he's capable of.
Bode Johnson showed me some good things at the Underclassmen Invitational on July 16-17, 2022. He snaps with a lot of power and definitely is a strong Long Snapper. The two things I want Bode to focus on are getting his eyes/head through and making sure he is going straight back. Two easy fixes that will pay off big time with Bode’s accuracy and speed. Massive upside and definitely one to watch this fall and at Vegas in January.
