    Player Review

AJ drew a lot of attention at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in Arizona on March 31, 2019.  AJ has an absolutely massive frame. And it is frightening how well he moves given his size. He snaps the ball with absolute force when he wants to and hits his spots all day long. AJ is extremely coachable and is very eager to step up as soon as an opportunity presents itself.  If AJ can eliminate his slight upward hitch, his times will improve drastically very quickly. I would also like to see AJ begin to incorporate his left hand more when he snaps. The more he can get that left hand to finish, the more consistent and powerful, yes more powerful, he will snap the football.  AJ has a ton of talent with plenty of room to improve. Very scary. I am excited to see how AJ progresses at his next Rubio Long Snapping Event.

AJ is a massive Long Snapper that did well at the summer camp in CA. Large and strong enough to play two positions at the next level. So powerful that AJ can tend to over grip the ball which will play with his spiral. Need to see his spiral get locked down and make sure his right hand is coming through as well to increase his overall accuracy. Hard working Long Snapper that has waves of brilliance.

Laux did well at the VEGAS XXXII Event in May of 2018. Massive man that has the ability to play line in college as well. If he gets his hands on you, it is game over. Definitely would benefit under a coach that wants his Long Snapper to block after the snap. Ball is powerful and he is pretty darn smooth for his size. Focusing completely on his spiral and locking that down will really increase the overall speed of his ball as it will cause the snap to slice through the air with ease. Also, making sure he is not dipping his left shoulder at the start of the snapping motion will help with accuracy. Upside is great and I am a big fan of Laux’s attitude.

Laux was solid at the Rubio Long Snapping Spring Camp in AZ on March 25, 2018. Love his size and how he is always improving. When he snaps with full power and just lets his massive body do the work, AJ crushes the punter and target. I want to see AJ focus on driving his upper body all the way through to create more speed and accuracy. Never need to see him turn his head to look at the punter. Turning too quickly will impact the accuracy and consistency of his snap. Great upside.

Laux did well at the Rubio Long Snapping spring camp in CA on March 4th, 2018. Massive human being with great power throughout his whole body. When he gets fully set and his spiral is tight, Laux can put a hole in the punter. He is using his lower half like an absolute champ and his leg lock is tremendous. Like to see Laux focus on getting absolutely fully set and leaning back. Having someone slightly push back on him will definitely help the process. Kid has D1 size right now and can be snapping a D1 ball in just a couple months. Great upside and he handles pressure well.

Laux showed me some good things at the Rubio Long Snapping VEGAS XXXI Event on January 12-14, 2018. He is a massive Long Snapper. Starting form is good and he shows great potential. Strong and has lots of power. Need to see Laux get fully set and make sure he is not dipping his left shoulder right at the start of the snapping motion. When he dips his shoulder, it will play with his overall speed and definitely his accuracy which can crush his RSI. I know that Laux can do this at the next level and I need him to know it as well. Confidence is the key for him and snapping with full power is going to be massive for Laux moving up. Need to see him average sub .80 and I know he can do it.

Aj jumped out of the gates early at the Rubio Long Snapping Fall Camp in Arizona on Sunday December 10th, 2017. AJ has D1 size, and is a large physical long snapper. Continue to work on flexibility. Huge upside once he locks down his spiral and improves balance/compactness when diving through. I would like to see him be a little more comfortable with his grip. Play with your guide hand as your current gripe is crowding the tip of the football. Increase your spiral and accuracy by keeping your hands together and owning your release point. Very coachable and has the size to play at the next level. I am excited to see him compete come Vegas XXX! January 13th-14th.

AJ did really well at the Rubio Long Snapping Underclassmen Invitational in Tampa, FL this past July.  First off, AJ can pass an eyeball test from a college coach from about 100 yards away. Starting form is good and he is using his whole body really well. Love to see AJ focus on increasing his overall athleticism to make him a true factor on the punt coverage team. Also, making sure he is really driving his eyes/head through will greatly increase his accuracy and even some speed. Upside is off the charts for AJ. Works hard and listens well.
